Roots (Single) by Sweater People & Summit Blue

Jazz | Afro-beat| Indie

"Roots" by Summit Blue and Sweater People started with one question: what if two bands wrote and recorded a song in one session? The result was a spontaneous two-hour jam that blends eight creative minds. Drawing influence from Mongo Santamaria, Fela Kuti, and Arthur Verocai, the track mixes contrasting tones with each instrument finding space. Aidan Buck’s trumpet solo builds to a musical peak, and a repeated riff channels Stevie Wonder. What began as an experiment turned into a vibrant, sun-soaked song.
