About Sun Goose Records
Sun Goose Records is an independent record label, recording studio, and music publisher based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Founded by guitarist, producer, and songwriter Jason Goessl, the label was originally created as a home for the extensive catalog and distribution of music Jason and Kate Voss recorded together over years of touring and recording. As that catalog grew, so did the vision.
Today, Sun Goose Records releases music by a carefully curated roster of artists—many of them longtime friends and incredible musicians Jason and Kate met while touring the country for over a decade. Rather than focusing on a single genre, the label celebrates great songs and inspired performances, whether it's jazz, indie rock, Americana, surf, soul, experimental music, or anything in between.
In addition to releasing records, Sun Goose Records operates TRS Recording Studio in downtown Oshkosh, where artists can record, mix, master, and develop their projects from start to finish. The label also provides music publishing administration, rights registration, digital distribution, metadata management, licensing, cataloging for sync, and proper asset management, ensuring every release is professionally organized, protected, and delivered to audiences around the world.
Physical releases from Sun Goose Records and its imprint, Tsurumi Records, are available just down the street at Can Can Oshkosh, Kate Voss's independently owned can bar, vintage boutique, and neighborhood gathering place. Can Can serves a thoughtfully curated selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while also offering Sun Goose and Tsurumi vinyl, CDs, merchandise, vintage clothing, jewelry, gifts, local art, and other unique finds—creating a space where music, art, and community naturally come together.
Sun Goose Records believes in making timeless records, preserving artists' catalogs, and building a home for independent music that will be enjoyed for years to come.
