About Brian Erickson:

Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Brian Erickson began his musical studies on piano in second grade. His next instrument was the drums, which he started playing when he was in fifth grade, and he taught himself guitar along the way as well. His vocals are smooth like James Taylor’s and rich like Greg Brown’s, both distinct and familiar. He was recognized as a precocious musician, beginning his professional music career in the 10th grade, notably in bars he would have been kept out of otherwise. Like many fine musicians of his generation, he found his way to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to pursue studies in jazz, which led him to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he played many styles of music, and pursued his interest in being a singer and songwriter. Mr. Erickson lives in Minneapolis still, with his partner, son, and daughter.
