Dreamland (album) by Sundae + Mr. Goessl

Dreamy-Nostalgic-Exotica

Sundae + Mr. Goessl have reimagined 12 nostalgic tunes with their signature vintage charm and an added wave of dreamy exotica. As full time touring artists, these 2 have collected a sizable following and decided to let the fans choose the set list for their latest release “Dreamland” with a variety of song choices from the past 100 years. The lush soundscape provided by Jason Goessl on guitars ranges from nylon string samba on “For Once in My Life” to other-worldly in tunes like “I Wish You Love” and “Blue Bayou”. Kate “Sundae” Voss has added an arsenal of instruments to her collection and can be heard playing bass on many songs including “Everybody Loves My Baby” and ukulele on Harry Belafonte’s “Don’t Ever Love Me”.  As a whole, this album takes us on a journey from simple duo cuts like “Slow Boat To China” to a full-band-with-a-choir vibe on “Could I Have This Dance?”. They even managed to step up to the times and insert an electro swing version of “Goody Goody” chock-full of Sundae sass. Sundae + Mr. Goessl have used this project as a way to stay connected to each other and to friends, family & fans during a time of closures and quarantines with a mission to present joy, comfort and familiarity.
